All questionsWhat is SceneLab?+
SceneLab is a toolkit for After Effects, made by editors for editors. It brings 80+ editing tools, a curve editor and face tracking into one panel, with AI captions, a local AI assistant and a clip and preset library on the way.
Which AI tools are unlimited?+
Auto captions, the integrated local AI assistant, and AI face tracking all offer unlimited use.
What can I ask the AI assistant to do?+
Ask for actions such as precomposing a layer, or combine tasks into one request: for example, face track, upscale, center and precompose layer 5. The assistant handles actions inside After Effects while you make the creative decisions.
How does face tracking work?+
Select your clips and open Tools → Advanced actions → Track faces. Choose the axis and options, then pick the face to follow in each scene. SceneLab keys the clip's own Position and Scale, and one Ctrl+Z undoes it. It runs on your computer and currently works on Windows.
Can I create my own motion curves?+
Yes. Shape the curve between two or three keyframes, start from one of 19 presets, and save your own curves in folders to reuse or share. The preview above lets you try the idea directly.
Is SceneLab finished?+
No. SceneLab is in alpha 1.1.0 and is still being developed. Face tracking is in testing; auto captions, the AI assistant and the library are still being built. Features, behavior and availability may change.
